PLIP3- Release

Where we stand

PLIP2, the predecessor to PLIP3, has been running at TD&DS for over 22 years. However, the development didn’t stop there. Ever-changing requirements and regulations from the international aviation industry, as well as the constant emphasis on quality and efficiency, have continued to drive the development of both the software client and the server. To this day, PLIP2 has been and continues to be used successfully both within our company and by many of our customers, both national and international.

Facts and Figures

For over two decades, in which we have developed PLIP2 and, together with our customers, used it in numerous projects, the numbers speak for themselves in terms of confidence and reliability.

PLIP3

After months of development work, we now look forward to making PLIP3 available to our customers starting May 8, 2026.

Customers who attended our ARDOS and PLIP workshop in June 2025, have already received an exclusive initial insight. An early version of PLIP3 was demonstrated on both a laptop and a tablet, and it was very well received by our guests.

What’s new in PLIP3?

Accessibility and Ease of Use:

Forget the frustration of client installation. With PLIP3, you work directly and securely through your preferred browser, whether it’s Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox. You will always have the latest version—and can focus on your work.

Intelligent Data Processing:

PLIP3 goes beyond a simple search. Advanced logic allows data dependencies to be automatically updated. And where automation isn’t possible, you will immediately receive clear alerts about inconsistencies. This minimizes potential sources of error and maximizes your data quality.

Maximum Overview, Fewer Complications:

The interface has been completely redesigned. Streamlined search fields and intuitive user interfaces boost daily efficiency and give you a sense of control—without distractions.

Performance Through Minimization:

Progress leaves its mark; we have removed unused features from PLIP3. To do this, we identified which features were not being used by either the TD&DS team or our customers.

Using state-of-the-art technology (both in front of and behind the scenes), we are ensuring that we will continue to lead the way in the future and more than meet the diverse challenges of a demanding industry.

Your Migration to PLIP3

The most important point: Your work should never be interrupted.

We have strategically planned the transition to PLIP3. The new, modern web layout was deliberately modeled and based on the familiar PLIP2 layout. And the functionality remains the same: PLIP3 accesses the same, proven server data.

This allows your employees to continue working on their projects seamlessly, without having to undergo extensive training.

The way forward

Following the release of PLIP3, development work continues. As we have done in the past, we will continue to refine the platform to make your PLIP experience even more rewarding. After further optimizations to PLIP3, we plan to migrate the PLIP database model later this year.
